TrusteeSusan Cleary Dr Susan Cleary is the Director of the Health Economics Unit at the University of Cape Town. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English, a Masters in Economics and a PhD in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town entitled "Equity and efficiency in health and health care for HIV-positive adults in South Africa". She has been working at the Health Economics Unit since 2001.
Teresa Guthrie Teresa Guthrie is a health economist and is the founding Director of the Centre for Economic Governance and AIDS in Africa (CEGAA). Through CEGAA she has provided capacity building and undertaken research for several African countries' NACs, MoHs, parliamentarians and civil society organisations, with regard to improving financial management for health, HIV/AIDS and TB, including costings, budgeting and national AIDS spending assessments (NASAs). Prior to CEGAA, she co-ordinated multi-country projects involving the monitoring of public budgets for health and HIV/AIDS for the AIDS Budget Unit of Idasa. Before getting into HIV/AIDS financing issues for the last seven years, she was engaged in the public health sector for over 13 years. She was involved in various health and development projects in Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and South Africa, and was particularly involved in policy development for people with disabilities and children. She has a particular interest in the broader macro-economic issues and the dynamics of development aid which influence the ability of African countries to effectively respond to HIV/AIDS, as well as in strengthening public health systems and decentralisation structures.

Nhlanhla Ndlovu Nhlanhla Ndlovu is a programme manager responsible for a Parliamentary and Civil Society Programme.He joined CEGAA in October 2008 after serving as a Provincial Manager of KZN Child Services programme for ARK(Absolute Return for Kids), where he promoted access to social security as an intervention in mitigating the social impact of AIDS. He spent years working for IDASA's AIDS Budget Unit where he monitored resource allocation and utilisation for HIV and AIDS funds in South Africa. His HIV and AIDS experience includes numerous research positions, such as work on Informed Consent procedures in HIV vaccine development research, and monitoring and evaluation of community and government responses to HIV and AIDS.
He holds a Master of Philosophy in Public Policy (UCT), Honours in Commerce (UKZN) and Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences (UKZN). He has also worked as an academic lecturing on Business Administration and Industrial Psychology.
