ServicesCEGAA undertakes economic fiscal and budget analysis research, training and advocacy activities in order to provide evidence of, and possible solutions to, the fiscal and administrative challenges that face so many African countries in their fight against HIV and AIDS. It achieves this through analysis of the international and national macro-economic frameworks and fiscal policies that influence and limit resources for social sector investment, human capital and infrastructural development in African countries, all of which are required for a comprehensive and effective response to HIV and AIDS.
The key services provided by CEGAA are:
- Training and capacity building
- Technical Support
- Costing of national strategic HIV/AIDS plans or specific HIV/AIDS interventions
- Budget development for HIV/AIDS plans and activities
- Undertaking/supporting NASAs in-country
- Research and analysis
- Advocacy Campaigns In-Country or at regional level
These services are provided to National AIDS Commissions, relevant government officials, parliamentarians, HIV/AIDS programme managers, civil society representatives, Associations of People Living with HIV/AIDS, research agencies and students (through various degree programmes).
